Why this sudden urge to proclaim my love? Because I saw this lamp (pictured above and below) decorated using a White Sharpie! Fantastic! I mean look what a simply Sharpie marker can do.
This awesome lamp and other amazing Sharpie ideas can be found on Better Homes and Gardens. I found the post via Babble.com and Craftzine.com but most importantly because of my awesome fellow Albertain myCHILDIsh who posted about it on Twitter. Be sure to check Sarah's site out! It's fantastic!

I am also a Sharpie addict - I've amassed something like 50+ ultra fine points in an array of colors. Cannot wait to try this white one!!
Also a big fan of the Sharpie, (and just about any other writing instrument), but that lamp idea opens up a world of possibilities. Amazing!
Thank you so much for this post, I didn't even know that there are white and multi-color Sharpies. And the black one is my main tool. Where have I been???
yay for sharpies! my mom is super addicted to them and i always borrow hers. she's got all the fancy ones :)
Sharpie addict over here! I have every colour invented. Have you tried the Sharpie pens? I love those, too!
Thank you all so much for the comments! I'm so happy that there are other Sharpie fanatics out there!
Happy Cactus - 50+, wow! I have about 12 but I'm not going to lie, I'd like 50!
Andrea - I know! I never would have thought to write on a lamp although I have seen the paint sharpies used to right on Christmas ornaments as favor gifts. Very cool! Got to have a steady hand though!
Aleutie - I use the black ones all the time but yes there are many, many cool colours out there!
Kabuki - I'm sure she loves that. She needs to get you your own set, lol!
Farren - Sharpie Pens? What? Like not markers but actual pens? So cool!
Thanks for the shout out Lindy!
Yes, there are sharpie pens, I have 24 of those around the house. They don't have the sharpie smell and won't bleed through. Very dreamy for sketching.
This weekend I saw these plexiglass end tables at a restaurant. These could so easily be made, all you would need is to make a plexiglass box and write the wood grain on with a white sharpie!

Thats amazing!! If I had artistic skills like that I would do the same!!
Sarah - those woodgrain boxes are so cool! Thank you for sharing. I'm going to go on a hunt for Sharpie pens now. I can't believe I haven't heard of these! Thank you again!
Diana - I don't think I have a steady enough hand for writing on smooth surfaces like that. Sure is cool though! Thank you for the comment!
