Salty Caramel Chocolate Tart....

I had a Salty Caramel Chocolate Tart over the weekend. Man was it ever good! I'm sure I'll be going back for more. I found my delicious treat at Yum Bakery in the Calgary Farmers Market.

It's Icing time again....

 I know I've posted my icing recipe a few times but I can't help it. It's so tasty and cupcakes are kind of staple around our house so here it is again! I made these french vanilla cupcakes with chocolate icing yesterday (sound fancy but it's just a box mix). The little hearts are from sweetestelle on Etsy.

Holiday Party Drink....

Yum! I want to drink this right now...minus the vodka (psst, I don't drink). It looks so delicious and refreshing. Clearly my body is telling me to get a glass of water. Chimney Cakes....

Last week the kiddies and I went to a local farmers market to pick up some new shoes for the girl. While there I discovered the most delicious pastry, Chimney Cakes from the wonderful booth Twisted Cafe. Oh my goodness! These cakes are made without milk or eggs but instead with applesauce and potatoes. Lemon zest is also added. The dough is then wrapped around a tub of some sort and when it's finished cooking you can have yours topped with cinnamon sugar, almonds, coconut...I think there were 6 different topping to choose from. We got ours with cinnamon sugar and it was sooo good! Both kids couldn't get enough and I fear now that my craving for it may take us on a weekly trip to the market. Oh yum! If you ever get the chance to purchase one, do! You won't be sorry and they would make great hostess gifts or presents for neighbours, friends, relatives. Yum! Highly recommend!

I'm a big Harry Potter fan. I've read all the books numerous times and I own all the movies. This weekend we're going to be visiting my parents and celebrating my brothers birthday. What are we doing? Going to see the last Harry Potter movie! I'm so excited and also kind of sad! I'll be okay though. : ) 

I found some awesome Harry Potter inspired recipes on babble.com today including the two above. I was thinking I might be the best sister ever and try to make some Butterbeer this weekend for my brother. Then I saw the cooking instructions and realized that I am not that talented. Sorry Elliot!
