Boo....

Okay I'm going to admit something...I'm not a fan of Halloween. It's not my least favourite holiday but it definitely ranks in the bottom three. I've just never loved dressing up, I don't find the black and orange decor pleasing to the eye and I hate being scared. Perhaps it all stems from my last trick or treating experience when I was twelve and me and my group of friends were asked why we weren't at home taking care of our babies. I don't like to offend and took that to mean that I was too old and my trick or treating days were now over. That experience definitely put a damper on the holiday for me but honestly I do think there's more too it than that, haha!

BUT now with all that said I do like candy, especially candy corn. I love the colours, the shape and the fact that it wasn't a readily available candy therefore making it more desirable. It seemed to only appear around Halloween. So today I bring you my love of candy corn in cookie form! These adorable cookies make me smile. They can be found in the shop RoyalicingLV on Etsy.

I hope you've enjoyed today's little rant. Too all of you I say, BOO!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Everytime I mention that I'm just not a fan of Halloween, people look at me in absolute horror and shock as if I'm un-American. I honestly don't understand why it's a holiday.

But I also agree about the candy corn :) I love fall candy...it's always the best!

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Kristi - we'll have to start a "who cares about Halloween" club or something. Glad I'm not alone!

Haha, it's not mine either! Although, while my kids were growing up, I did all the Halloween hoopla happily. Now I don't have to. Margie

Margie - I hear ya! Although my son is only three and already hates dressing up. I have to come up with a costume every year that's basically made up of clothing so that he doesn't think he's in a costume. What a goof!
