Random Rambelings
Hey everyone!
* I've added a new song to my playlist. A little Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega. I love this song. Love, love, love it!
* I'm not a huge fan of camping but I think if I had this trailer I might change my mind. Although I would want it to be a lot bigger and maybe parked in the lobby of a nice hotel. ; )
* I saw a funny bumper sticker today. The left side said "Yes this is my truck", the right side said, "No I won't help you move." Funny! The weird thing is about ten minutes later I saw the same bumper sticker again but on a different car. Does that ever happen to you? You notice something and then keep noticing it over and over. Like how you've never seen a Mazda Tribute until you buy one and then they seem to be everywhere. Hm.....
* My son surprised me today. We got out of the truck and I saw the neighbourhood cat. I put Aden down to see the kitty and he immediately bent down, put his hand on the ground, and started clicking his tongue calling the cat over. Amazing to me!
* I've been out of commission the last 6 days because we finally finished the painting (stairwell and bathroom) and hung a curtain rod, curtains, blinds, a mirror and some shelves. And in the middle of all of that we had a garage sale! Yikes! I huge thank you to my parents for helping us so much!
* Anyone else have seasonal allergies? Mine were so bad during the garage sale I just wanted to hide in the basement and never come up again. Their better now but only becuase I spend a lot of time indoors. I hope this doesn't last long. I take Reactine but it doesn't seem to always do the trick.
* May is almost over and I haven't had my monthly giveaway yet. Look for it this week! Hint, hint!
Okay I think that's it for thoughts that have been rolling around in my head. I hope you're all having a great week! Till tomorrow!

Makes you Think
My sister-in-law posted her Crazy Eight list months ago now and I've been wanting to post about it ever since. I'm not going to officially do it and tag people and all of that but I did want to comment on one thing.
The first set of questions/answers was favourite shows. I found it interesting to see what my SIL's favourites were compared to mine. It made me start to wonder why mine were what they were. Most of her's were hour long drama's or shows that make you think or cry. All of mine are comedies (except one travel show). I used to watch the hour long dramas, the cops shows, etc but recently my tv watching list has changed. I want happy thoughts in my life. I want to laugh (cry laugh preferably). I don't want to think too much. I don't want to be afraid of being murdered or attacked. I don't want to cry at sad things that I then worry will happen to me one day. I just want to live in my happy little bubble and keep on going. Is that so wrong?
Here is my SIL's list and here's mine. Makes you think. What does your tv watching list reveal about you?

Photo Friday
Okay so I love photography and I want to start a weekly post where I feature photos that I've found. Well this is easier said than done. Most of the photos that I want to feature are saved in a way that I can't repost them or the photographers of these pictures have stated that the pics can not be shared without their permission which is a whole other step to go though. I don't want to make anyone angry so in order to still share and not tick anyone off I will post links to where these photos can be found. All you have to do is click on the link and you'll be taken right there. Easy as pie. Kind of makes it like a mystery. Ooooo...what will it be? haha! So here's my first Photo Friday post. Hope you enjoy! Green Sea of Chairs - SophiaMuc on Flickr.

And Then He Turned 2
Yesterday was Aden's second birthday. It does feel like he's been around that long however I still remember going to the hospital to have him like it happened yesterday so it is hard to believe that two years are gone just like that. Here are some pics of the big event (celebrated on Saturday).
Homemade Turtles. So good. Click here for the recipe.
Homemade Turtle packaged as Alligator Droppings. You'll get why in a minute.
Alligator Birthday Cake made out of cupcakes, marshmallows, cookies, runts, junior mints and icing of course. It didn't take me long at all to put it together. Click here for a link to the cupcake recipe book I got the idea from.

Lindy
Look what I found on Etsy! Wicked! I love my name. It's uncommon but not weird and I rarely heard it growing up. The last few years it's really been picking up steam though and I've been seeing it more and more like on this pillow for instance. I was never able to find the meaning of my name or my name on pencils or erasers growing up so it's super fun to finally be seeing some products out there just for me (haha). With that said though there is a still a feirce side of me that wants to keep it all to myself. Oh the inner struggle! Lol. This pillow is so fantastic though I don't mind sharing my name with it. It's made by Meringue Designs on Etsy which is owned by Cynthia. She makes the most amazing products you must check them out! I likey Tim Walker
You wouldn't know it to look at me but I've actually been interested in fashion for as long as I can remember. Fashion File and Fashion TV were favourites of mine to watch on peasant vision (aka: only having three channels) growing up. I also happen to have a deep love for photography so when I see a fantastic picture in a magazine I get a little giddy. This weekend I came across just such a picture. I immediately went on the interweb to see if I could find out who the photographer was. During my investigation I discovered that the same photographer that took this picture also took one that's been popping up on blogs a lot lately and that I also happy to love! The photographer is Tim Walker and I now *heart* him. Click here to see a gallery collection of some of his photographs. You will *heart* him too!
This is the picture that sparked my investigation.
This is the picture that I've been seeing on blogs a lot the last few weeks. Picture for Dior Ad before......
....and now after.
Another Tim Walker photograph.
Okay I'm not sure who the photographer as for this picture but I love it so I'm including it! Here is my source on Flickr, Millie Mott. It would appear that this is a "vintage" picture and that it's from a Seventeen Magazine. Millie Mott has an amazing collection of old photographs and advertisements. Be sure to check her out!

Easter
Okay so I'm a little late posting these Easter pics. What can I say it's been busy around here. : ) Aden's birthday party is this weekend which means more pictures so I thought I'd better get this up before they got lost in the picture file. So here we go!
Aden's Great Grandma Howard got him a chocolate soccer ball for Easter. Aden didn't know what to make of it. He just kept saying, no, no. I think he knew it wasn't a real ball. It was very funny!
Aden discovered digging in the dirt during Easter. He loved it but was not so keen on Lady Bugs. Again he kept saying no, no.
All you need is a box and a friend...well a second cousin in this case. I think that's Michael.
We had a treasure hunt in the backyard of G & G Turner's house. Aden didn't think much of it. There was an egg in the tree but Aden had no desire to pick it up. Funny kid!
Once he did get his hands on a chocolate egg all he wanted to do was bury it in the dirt over and over.
I love this picture! One of those rare good ones that you get after taking 30 or 40. Thank goodness for digital!
On Easter Monday we had a family dinner at our house. The Easter Bunny came and left Aden some chocolate eggs and a huge ball. He was more interested in the eggs though but not to eat them, to play with them!

Alone in a Hallway....Oh, how poetic! haha
My brother was playing around with a camera right after we painted the hall in my house. You can still see the old grey/green color on the right. Anyway...I didn't know he was taking these pictures...well this one I did but not until he'd taken a few others first. Anyway, just thought it was kind of neat. The new colours in our house are becoming great backdrops.
