Merry Christmas to you!

Here's one last post before Christmas to wish you all a Happy Holiday Season. Here are a few random shots as well. It's all about the pictures.

I love Christmas for many reason and one is Christmas Cards. It's very rare to get anything in our mail box but junk and bills these days but for the last few weeks we've had at least one Christmas Card appear every day. It's great. I think this may be the most we've ever gotton. Good thing I have my fancy Ikea card holder. Thanks to everyone for sending us some Christmas Cheer.
This is my Wobbely Santa. I love him. I got him a few years ago and he is by far my favourite Christmas Decoration. That's why I put him up nice and high were Aden couldn't get at him.

Aden's been in a helping mood the last little while especially with the groceries. I typically drop them at the front door while we take off coats and boots. As soon as Aden is free of his winter gear he grabs the handles on the bags and attempts to take them to the kitchen for me. So cute. Here is his attempt at taking the paper towels which as you can see are almost as big as he is. He did very well. Only dropped them once!

Picture Issues

You may have noticed that lately there haven't been many pictures of my wee little one on here. That's because lately every time he hears the velcro on the camera case or the chime of the power button he comes running desperate to see the screen on the back and to look at himself. So needless to say it's getting almost impossible to get a shot of him. The pictures below aren't in order unfortunately but basically he was sitting in his toy box, I attempted to take a picture of him as it was way cute but as soon as he heard the camera he came a runnin'. Every picture in the last month is from about a foot away. Let's hope he gets nice and distracted by presents on Thursday so I can get some decent Christmas pictures.

Snowed in.....well sort of......

Aden and I are snowed in today...well sort of. We can get out just fine but the box heater cord on my truck brock off yesterday so we weren't able to plug it in. I got Aden all packed up to go to swimming today and then went out to start the truck and it just wasn't happening. I figured it wouldn't seeing as it was minus 28 but a girls gotta try. So instead of going out we stayed in and I wrapped our Christmas presents. Instead of buying Christmas paper this year (which was really hard because ever year I get suckered into buying the cute new pattern) I used craft paper. I had three rolls and figured it was time to put it to good use. I bought some adorable To/From tags but instead of sticking them onto the present like in years past I stuck them to cardstock and then punched a hole in each one so I could attach them to the presents with ribbon. May I just say.....way cute! Here are a few pictures of what I managed to accomplish today while stuck at home. Enjoy!

• I only like to fill up with gas at Shell gas stations. In fact one Shell gas station in particular. The one by my house. I feel great anxiety when I realize I have to get gas and I'm no where near my home.

Another quirk

I say dint instead of dent and dinted instead of dented. Jason's teases me all the time.

They turned out so well!

I made cupcake bouquets! They turned out so well. I was worried they'd be top heavy or the icing would slip off but there were no problems to be found. Woot, woot!

Quirks

I've been thinking for awhile now about peoples quirks or little known facts. Mine mainly. I think they show true insight into a person's personality. I thought I'd share some of mine with you. Feel free to get in on the game and let me know what some of yours are.

• I always sneeze in threes.
• I hate baths, taking them and giving them.
• I don't like to leave the house with the dishwasher, dryer or crockpot on. Makes me nervous.
• I don't like houses with only blue Christmas lights. Makes my eyes hurt.
• I've worn glasses since I was 7.

The thing about quirks is that you can't remember them all at one time. So here are a few for now. I'm sure I'll post more as they come.
