Happy Anniversary.....

......to us!!!! Yup, yesterday Aug 25 was our anniversary. 8 years. It's crazy....the saying "time goes by fast" does seem to fit when you think of it in numbers. 8 years seems like a lot but at the same time it seems like we just got married yesterday. If you think of all the things that have happened in 8 years though it does have more weight to it. Marriage, jobs, careers, cars, houses, a baby! And vacations.....oh the vacations. It's been a good 8 years that's for sure! I love you Jay Dog!

South Glenmore Spray Park

This week we went to South Glenmore Spray Park. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it. The park includes a spray area, swings for older kids and younger, a big playground for older kids and a smaller one for the young ones plus tons of grass, trees and picnic tables. Aden loved it and walked around for a good hour playing in the water and exploring. We'll definitely be going again.

A little splash of color

Alright all you fashionistas out there. If you watch What Not to Wear you know what "a little splash of colour" means. I recently came across these pretty little red flats and I had to have them. My mom laughed when I did a little happy dance in the store. They make me sooo happy! Notice the polka dots on the inside and hello, toe cleavage....Stacey would be so proud!

Our son is a Disney character

That's right, our son is a Disney character. You know, shirt but no pants. What's up with that? Maybe it's always plus 30 in cartoon land because that's the reason Aden was pantless for most of the day. It's been hot here! Our house isn't too bad actually.....well if you just sit in one spot all day long, preferable in the basement. I hope everyone is surviving the heat wave. Enjoy the pics!

Long weekend....part two

Today we took Aden to Riley Park. There is a wadding pool there. It's perfect for him since he didn't really like the splash park. This was just like going to the pool except that he could walk around by himself. He wasn't sure at first but then he couldn't get enough. We'll definitely take him back.







The only picture we have of him in a hat. The second it touched his head he was obsessed with trying to get it off.







Aden was not interested in getting a family picture taken. He wanted back in the water.

Long weekend...so far

Well it's only Sunday and we've already had a very busy weekend. We went to Butterfield Acres yesterday with the Christensen's. It's a farm just north of Calgary where you can feed and play with the animals. It was really nice and thankfully very quiet for a Saturday. Aden did really well. It's was great to be able to take him somewhere where he could walk around and actually notice the animals.





Aden really liked the horse...so did Jay!


All over the farm they had these picture cut-outs that you stick your face through. Aden went gaga for them. He thought they were hilarious. I think it reminded him of playing peek-a-boo.

This sheep was hilarious. There were a ton of them walking by but this one stopped and went right up to Aden. I thought Aden was going to freak out but instead he got a huge smile on his face and wanting to touch the sheep. We have about 6 pictures of them hanging together. Very cute!


On Friday Nathan, Becca, Ellia and Annorah came for the day on the way back to Montreal.
